The New Economics Foundation are launching the Blue New Deal action plan to support coastal communities and a healthier coastal and marine environment in the UK.  In response to the support they have received so far they have said:

The Berwickshire and Northumberland Marine Nature Partnership is looking for an experienced project officer to lead the development and delivery of a coordinated management framework for nine marine protected areas. The Partnership is looking for a person that has:

“A good understanding of UK marine protected areas and the human activities that interact with them, including experience of marine or coastal conservation and knowledge of the legislation and policy that is used to manage the marine area. You will have strong project management and time management skills, with the ability to manage a heavy workload with minimal supervision. Liaison with a wide range of partner organisations is key to the role, and so excellent communications skills are essential”.
